Pre-proceedings settlement of £17,500 for client following collision in Belfast
We are pleased to have settled a pre-proceedings claim on behalf of our client this week following a road traffic collision in Belfast in March of this year.
Our client was stationary at traffic lights when she was unexpectedly rear ended by another driver. Liability was not disputed and medical evidence was invited by the 3rd party insurance company. Jack Dowling dealt with this matter and obtained a report from a consultant in Emergency Medicine and a Psychiatrist.
An offer was made to settle the case in full for £12,500. We advised our client not to accept this and reverted with a counter offer. A second offer was made quickly thereafter for £17,500 which we advised our client to accept.
We are delighted to have been able to secure a substantial settlement for our client following this traumatic experience.
This case was opened and closed within eight months and our client was delighted with the outcome.
